The fire occurred at 05:24 in a 9-story residential building on Serhiy Hrytsevets Street. An elevator was on fire in the elevator shaft over an area of about 8 square meters.
The body of a man was inside the burning elevator. His identity, cause of death and the cause of the fire are being established.
Due to the heavy smoke in the stairwell, rescuers also evacuated 10 residents to the fresh air. The fire was extinguished at 06:55.
