The Ambassador of Ukraine welcomed the proposal of the Deputy Foreign Minister of Israel to hand over to Ukraine the Russian weapons captured by the IDF in Lebanon, Gaza or the West Bank. Yevhen Korniychuk emphasized that both countries are fighting against a common enemy. This was reported by the Times of Israel ,and UNN .
“I welcome this proposal and hope that the State of Israel will approve it. Weapons produced in Russia and in the hands of terrorist organizations prove that Russia supports and encourages Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas and all those who seek to kill Israeli citizens and soldiers,” said Yevhen Korniychuk.
“What else needs to happen for the State of Israel to wake up and realize that Russia is acting aggressively against Israel behind the scenes, through partners on the axis of evil, and that Ukraine and Israel are fighting the same enemies.
Successive Israeli governments have refused to supply weapons to Ukraine throughout the war, and despite Haskel's offer, there is no sign that this policy will change, the Times of Israel writes .
