Almost 900 dogs serve in the police in Ukraine, the National Police said on the Day of the National Police Canine Service, sharing details of such work, writes UNN.

"Almost 900 service dogs help the National Police of Ukraine perform the most difficult tasks every day," the police said.

They reportedly search for weapons and explosives, solve crimes, search for people, and work on demining liberated territories.

"In 2025 alone, dog handlers and their four-legged partners made more than 24,000 deployments and helped solve almost 11,000 crimes," the police said.

Service dogs, as indicated, detected thousands of explosive objects, weapons, ammunition, and more than a ton of drugs. And they also helped find hundreds of people, including children.
