A temporary deterioration in the air condition has been recorded in Kyiv, but the level of pollution remains average and does not pose a threat to health, UNN reports with reference to KCSA.
"In Kyiv, there is a temporary deterioration in the air condition, the level of pollution is average. The likely reason for the increase in pollution is meteorological conditions, in particular, low wind speed," KCSA said.
Atmospheric air quality sensors at relative humidity levels of 95% or higher may mistake fog for dust. This can lead to an overestimation of pollution.
At present, the level of air pollution remains average and does not pose a threat to people's health and well-being.
In case of further deterioration of air quality, it is recommended to close windows, minimize outdoor exposure, drink more water, and use the air purifier at maximum mode.
