Admission to vocational colleges starts in Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science reported on July 2, writes UNN
From July 1, the submission of applications for admission to vocational education institutions began
Who can submit documents
Applicants can submit documents for training at the expense of state or regional orders, as well as under contract.
Graduates of 9th and 11th grades can apply, as well as adults who want to acquire a new profession. No NMT is required for admission to vocational education institutions.
"Today, the labor market needs electricians, welders, builders, locksmiths, machine operators, cooks and other qualified specialists. Vocational education allows you to acquire practical skills, start a career faster, achieve financial independence or open your own business," the Ministry of Education and Science emphasized.
Admission conditions
Each institution independently determines the admission conditions, list of documents, deadlines for submission and enrollment. As a rule, you need to pass an interview or entrance exams.
You can choose a profession and college for study on the platform "Professional College". The catalog contains institutions from all over Ukraine: they can be filtered by region, view the list of professions and find contacts of the admissions committee.
An application for admission must be submitted by September 1: in person at the institution or online through the electronic office on the EDEBO website.
For admission, the following are usually required:
- application;
- education document and its supplement;
- medical certificate;
- photographs;
- copy of an identity document;
- documents confirming the right to benefits (if any);
- military conscripts must provide a copy of the military registration document: military ID or temporary certificate of a military conscript or a certificate of registration for a draft board.
How long does training last
The duration of study at a vocational college ranges from 6 months to 3 years. This depends on the chosen profession, the level of education at the time of admission, and previously acquired qualifications.
What is the scholarship
Students can receive a scholarship from 1250 UAH, and if necessary, live in a dormitory.
Addendum
The Ministry of Education and Science, together with partners, is updating workshops and laboratories in colleges, purchasing modern equipment so that college education meets the needs of the labor market. Over 80% of current vacancies in the labor market are for professions taught in vocational education institutions.
"Today, specialists for energy, railway transport, robotics and instrument making are in high demand. For some technical specialties, there are currently more than 10 vacancies per specialist, so graduates have broad opportunities for employment immediately after training," said Deputy Minister of Education and Science for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization Dmytro Zavhorodnii.
