Svitlana Popytych, the winner of the "Do Your Own" business idea competition from Mykolaivka village in Dnipropetrovs'k region, is developing a pig breeding business, UNN reports.

Details

Her project "Breeding Pigs "Svizhyna" became one of the 7 winners of the competition in the Dnipro region in 2023.

The total budget of the project is UAH 252,800, of which UAH 100,000 is a grant from the MHP-Hromada Charitable Foundation. With the grant money, Svitlana purchased piglets for further fattening and preparation for insemination of the gilts.

"Pigs are raised using the technology of "clean feed", only vegetable and grain feed. Such meat is characterized by environmental friendliness and nutritional values and is in high demand on the consumer market," says MHP Oril-Leader.

Svitlana plans to provide meat and lard at an affordable price to the local population and internally displaced persons under martial law directly from the producer.

"In a difficult time for the country, the MHP team continues to help people who want to work and develop the Ukrainian economy. The Do Your Own microgrant competition from the MHP-Hromada encourages active and hardworking people to take action. I am proud of people like Svitlana who do not give up in difficult times, but rather look for opportunities to develop their own business," comments Vasyl Ryngach, director of Okolytsia Estate.

It should be noted that MHP-Hromada has recently announced the launch of a new season of the Do Your Own business idea competition. This year, the foundation is especially looking forward to receiving applications from veterans and families of defenders who want to start or develop their own business.
