An 18-year-old girl was detained in the capital after hitting a serviceman on the head with a bottle following a remark about her use of profanity and loud behavior on a trolleybus. The incident occurred in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital; the victim sustained a traumatic brain injury. This was reported by the Kyiv police, according to UNN.

A 52-year-old serviceman, returning home after service, made a remark to an intoxicated girl and her companion who were behaving loudly and swearing inside the trolleybus.
In response, the youths provoked a conflict, and later, at a public transport stop, the 18-year-old offender struck the man on the head with a bottle.
As a result of the attack, the soldier sustained physical injuries in the form of soft tissue contusions to the head. Medics also preliminarily diagnosed him with a closed traumatic brain injury. The victim refused hospitalization.
Law enforcement officers detained the attacker in accordance with Article 298-2 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated regarding the incident under Part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A notice of suspicion is being prepared for the detainee.
In addition, police filed administrative reports against the offenders under Article 173 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (petty hooliganism) and Article 175-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (smoking tobacco products in prohibited places).
