One of the "bosses" said that he did not want to hire women because they were "not able to climb into the cab." The Kyiv Metro responded to the sexist remarks of its employee and assured that they had talked to the head of the depot and "this moment has already been worked out," reports UNN.

A scandal erupted on social network X. Nino Nazarova, who came to an interview for a job as a driver in the Kyiv subway, was ridiculed for wanting a "man's job.
According to her, only three of the 20 girls invited to the interview at the subway came, and no men were invited that day. She is convinced that such a small number of women came because during the phone conversation, the "boss," as she called him, ridiculed their desire to join the team and said that "a woman is not capable of climbing into the cab.
"According to my boss, this whole idea of recruiting women as drivers is political and has nothing to do with reality. Unfortunately, very few women came for the interview, but it's not surprising, because it was clear from the first call that we were not welcome there. You don't really want to go to a place where you are not welcome," she added.
She writes that the "boss" frankly told her why he did not plan to hire women, about the shortage of workers due to mobilization, and that between a man and a woman, he would prefer the former.
In the capital's subway, a journalist of UNN was told that they had a conversation with the "boss" about this situation
"We have talked to this manager from the Obolon depot and have already sent two women to the position of driver for a medical examination. You need to understand that we cannot reproduce the dialog of this conflict in detail. We have made an important conclusion for ourselves that one way or another, such manifestations should not exist at all, and it does not matter whether it is the subway or another institution. For our part, we have worked on this point," the KP press service said.
According to them, they have worked to improve communication to prevent such situations from happening again.
"We understand that this should not be the case. We will do everything to ensure that communication only gets better," the press service added.
