A resident of Kherson was sentenced to 12 years in prison for collaborating with the Russian occupiers. He headed the occupation "medical institution", writes UNN with reference to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The local resident was found guilty of aiding and abetting the aggressor state (Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) for supporting the public prosecution of prosecutors of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office
The court sentenced the man to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. He was also deprived of the right to hold positions in state authorities and public administration, local self-government, as well as positions related to the performance of organizational and administrative or administrative and economic functions, the provision of public services for a term of 15 years.
The Prosecutor's Office managed to prove that in June 2022, the collaborator cooperated with the enemy and took the position of "acting chief physician" of the occupation institution "SBE "Territorial Medical Association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs." The accused registered the "institution" in the bodies illegally created by the occupation authorities.
It is noted that, performing administrative and economic powers in an illegally created institution in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region, the collaborator organized its work.
"He also agitated Ukrainian citizens to get jobs at the "institution," promising subordinates "shoulder straps" of the aggressor country," the prosecutor's office said.
