The communities of Kyiv region received school buses for organized transportation of children to educational institutions. A total of 12 buses were handed over to the communities. This was reported by Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the Kyiv RMA, according to UNN.

8 communities in Kyiv region received school buses for organized transportation of children to educational institutions. 12 buses will be transporting children to schools from the beginning of the new school year. This is humanitarian aid from the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. The agreement to receive the buses was reached on the sidelines of the International Summit of Cities and Regions, which was held as part of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine
It is noted that the buses will be transferred to Pirnivska, Zazymska, Kalynivska, Uzynska, Berezanska, Fursivska, Kozhanska and Boryspilska communities.
"More than 600 children in these communities will now be able to use school buses. The need for school buses is extremely high. More than 33.5 thousand children in Kyiv region live beyond walking distance to schools and need constant transportation. Kyiv region also received over UAH 91 million in subventions for the purchase of school buses. We are already working with communities to purchase them," added Kravchenko.

In June, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to allocate a UAH 1 billion subvention from the state budget to local budgets for the purchase of school buses in 2024.
