250 combat engagements took place on the frontline yesterday, the most intense in the Kursk region and Pokrovsk sectors, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a summary as of 8 a.m. on December 19, UNN reports.
250 combat engagements were registered over the last day
Yesterday, the enemy launched three missile attacks (three rockets) and 35 air strikes against Ukrainian positions and localities, dropping 36 KABs. In addition, it fired more than 4,250 times, including 178 times from multiple launch rocket systems.
Yesterday, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces conducted four strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel and weapons and on three other important enemy targets.
The situation is as follows in terms of directions:
In the Kharkiv sector, one combat engagement took place in the vicinity of Vovchansk.
In the Kupyansk sector, the number of attacks amounted to 26 over the day. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults near Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka and Lozova.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked 24 times near Hrekivka, Novoyehorivka, Nadiia, Yampolivka and Terny.
Five attempts to attack the positions of our troops were repelled by Ukrainian defenders in the Siversky sector near Verkhnekamianske.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy tried to advance five times in the area of Chasovyi Yar, Hryhorivka and in the direction of Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 13 attacks near Toretsk, Diliyivka and Shcherbynivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders repelled 48 assaults in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachanske, Zelene, Novovasylivka, Chumatske and Novooleynivka, where the invaders, supported by aviation, tried to force our units out of their positions.
In the Kurakhove sector, the Defense Forces repelled 25 attacks near Sontsivka, Staryi Terny, Kurakhove and Dachne, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops.
In the Vremivsky sector, the enemy also carried out 25 assault actions near Kostiantynopolske, Rozlyv, Velyka Novosilka, Blahodatne, Novyi Komar and Storozheve.
Once, the occupier tried to break through to Novoandriivka in the Orikhivsky direction, but was repulsed.
In the Prydniprovsky sector, five combat engagements with the enemy took place in the island zone of the Dnipro Delta. The enemy was not successful.
Ukrainian defense forces continue operations in the Kursk region. Enemy aircraft continue to strike at Ukraine's own territory. Over the past day, Russian aircraft carried out 21 air strikes, dropping 31 KABs. Ukrainian defenders repelled 68 invaders' assaults.
No signs of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy maintains a military presence, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine.
At the same time, our soldiers continue to actively inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy along the entire combat line.
