According to the authorities of Castilla-La Mancha, 11-year-old Mateo died after a masked young man stabbed him with a sharp object while playing on a soccer field in the city of Mosejon in Toledo.
It is noted that at the time of the attack, Mateo was playing football with other children on a city football field on the outskirts of the city. After the attack, the man fled the scene.

According to the Civil Guard, the alleged perpetrator is a young man aged 16 to 17 who entered the room wearing a hood and stabbed the minor several times.
The newspaper notes that the deceased boy was well known in Mosekhon, a town of 5,000 people. His family owns one of the most popular bakeries in the city.
The boy's relatives fell down in front of the Sports Center after hearing the news.
Mosejon City Hall announced three days of mourning in connection with the incident. The President of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano Garcia-Paz, said he was “shocked” by the incident and expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased boy.
