During a working trip to Dnipro region, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska visited the Superheroes School in Kryvyi Rih, UNN reports citing the Presidential Office.
The Head of State and his wife toured the classrooms and got acquainted with the educational process in this hospital school. Here, children undergoing long-term treatment will be able to acquire knowledge and receive the necessary assistance.
The creation of this "Superhero School" was fully funded by the Olena Zelenska Foundation.
"Children in hospitals in Kryvyi Rih face not only illnesses but also the realities of war. That is why the Superheroes School is more than just a classroom for them. It is a place where they get their childhood, hope and support back," the First Lady said.
The institution has everything necessary for learning. In particular, there are two classrooms, a play area for preschoolers, a mental health room and a library.
"It is these results that inspire us to do more and continue to look for donors to open such schools in new cities," emphasized Nina Gorbacheva, director of the Olena Zelenska Foundation.
In total, this year the Foundation has financed the creation of six new Superhero Schools, attracting funds from foreign partners. In addition to Kryvyi Rih, educational classes at hospitals in Vinnytsia and Rivne are ready for the start of the new school year. Soon they will also start operating in Lviv, Odesa and Poltava.
"We thank the Foundation for their faith in our project and the opportunity to see happy superheroes in new classrooms," said Natalia Zhylinska, director of the Superheroes School.
"Superhero Schools are already in 11 cities. Last year, more than 15 thousand children became their students.
