President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy left his signature on the ceiling at the entrance to Donetsk region, which was recently "updated" by local volunteers. This was reported by UNN with reference to the President's Telegram channel.
Details
Today, on April 19, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy paid a working visit to Donetsk region, where he visited Ukrainian defenders.
During the visit, the head of state not only talked to the wounded, but also left an autograph on the ceiling at the entrance to Donetsk region. Zelensky posted the photos on social media.
Addendum
Traditionally, hundreds of soldiers who went to the front line left their signatures on the stele. Recently, however, local volunteers decided to "update" the stele - they painted over the signatures of all the soldiers and tore off the chevrons of the fighters and brigades who left them there as a memento.
Many on social media reacted negatively to the volunteers' actions, calling them the destruction of the memory of Ukrainian soldiers.
However, as the military themselves say, "the stele comes to life and acquires a new history". Soldiers from different units have again started leaving inscriptions on the stele near Sloviansk, at the entrance to the Donetsk region.
