On the eve of the President's visit to the UK, Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak had a telephone conversation with National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of India Ajit Kumar Doval, which was initiated by the Indian side. The parties discussed the recent Russian massive shelling of Ukraine's civilian infrastructure, including Okhmatdyt, one of the most important children's hospitals not only in Ukraine but also in Europe.
Andriy Yermak noted that Okhmatdyt saves children with cancer, performs the most complex surgeries and recovers them from the most severe injuries. He emphasized that the attack on this hospital was another manifestation of terrorist methods of warfare by the aggressor state.
The Head of the President's Office noted that it is important for Ukraine-India relations to develop. But at the same time, there should be a clear position on the Russian aggression against our country and the path to a just peace based on the Peace Formula
In conclusion, Andriy Yermak emphasized that India, and in particular Prime Minister Narendra Modi, can play an important role in achieving a just peace for Ukraine.
