Elon Musk's company X ceases operations in Brazil. He explains this by pressure from a judge of the country's Supreme Court and censorship. This is stated in a statement by X on August 17, UNN reports.

“Last night, Brazilian Supreme Court Judge Alessandre de Moraes threatened our legal representative in Brazil with arrest if we did not comply with his censorship orders. He did so in a secret order,” the press release said.
X has decided to close its representative office immediately to protect the safety of its employees, the statement also explained. The social network's service remains available to residents of Brazil.
“We are deeply saddened that we have been forced to make this decision. The responsibility for this lies solely with Aleshandre de Moraes. His actions are incompatible with democratic governance. The people of Brazil have to make a choice - democracy or Alesandre de Moraes,” the company concluded.
