The head of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, commented on the effectiveness of the process of removing employees with anti-Ukrainian views from the DIU. He said this in an interview with NV, UNN reports.
Budanov says that when he started working in intelligence in 2007, the issue of hostility to Ukraine was rather abstract.
The Ukrainian intelligence services had strong ties with Russia at that time, and Russia controlled a lot of things here
He also recalled the visit of the head of the Russian Main Intelligence Directorate to Kyiv in 2013, which took place before the Revolution of Dignity.
Commenting on the purging of the DIU from employees hostile to Ukraine, Budanov said: "There are enemies and traitors, and almost all of the enemies left just after the Maidan events. We are working on traitors, there is still a lot of work to be done.
