In Ukraine, 124 children have been killed or injured by mines since the beginning of Russia's large-scale invasion. Most of them were killed in Donetsk and Kharkiv regions. UNN reports this with reference to UNICEF.

As noted, today Ukraine is one of the most mined countries in the world. In the two years since the beginning of the full-scale war in Russia, the situation has only worsened.
The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine has confirmed that mines and other explosive remnants of war caused 124 child casualties between February 24, 2022 and February 29, 2024
As noted, Donetsk and Kharkiv regions are ahead of other regions of Ukraine in terms of the number of child mine victims.
In Donetsk region, 30 people were killed or injured by mines, and 25 in Kharkiv region.
