Due to russia's massive shelling of civilians and critical infrastructure in Ukraine, a meeting of the UN Security Council will be held on December 16. This was announced by Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the UN Sergiy Kyslytsya on social network X, UNN reports.

According to Kyslytsia, the meeting will be titled "Supporting Peace and Security of Ukraine" and is being convened to consider the humanitarian consequences of Russia's armed aggression, in particular its massive shelling of civilians and critical infrastructure in Ukraine.
