Nine employees of the United Nations Relief Agency for Palestine refugees in the Middle East (UNRWA) may be involved in the attack of the terrorist group Hamas on Israel on October 7, 2023. They were fired. This is evidenced by the results of the UN investigation, writes Reuters, reports UNN.
Details
The UN said it had found "sufficient evidence" of the possible involvement of these UNRWA workers in the attacks. At the same time, they did not specify what role they played, only indicated that they were all men.
A total of 19 UNRWA employees were investigated (two of them died).
"For us, any involvement in the attacks is a huge betrayal of the work that we must do on behalf of the Palestinian people," said UN deputy spokesman Farhan Haq.
