Ukrainian pilot Oleksandr Myhlya was killed in the war with the Russian occupiers. The defender of Ukraine was 27 years old. The page of the Mena City Council on Facebook reports that the pilot died on August 12 while performing a combat mission. He was the commander of an aviation unit, reports UNN.

"Tragic news - and the sky cries on a sunny day. On August 12, 2024, the Mena community lost its defender and faithful son. During a combat mission, a resident of Mena, aviation commander Captain Oleksandr Myhlya, born on 21.04.1997, was killed," the statement reads.
Oleksandr graduated from Kharkiv Air Force University.
