Starting January 1, 2025, Ukraine will introduce a monthly "teacher's supplement" to teachers' salaries in the amount of UAH 1,000 "in hand". This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting, UNN reports.
"In Odesa, we are holding the seventh regional meeting of the Government of Ukraine in recent months," Shmyhal wrote.
According to him, today, pursuant to the order of the President of Ukraine, the government is making an important decision to support teachers.
"Starting January 1, 2025, we will introduce a monthly 'teacher's supplement' to teachers' salaries in the amount of UAH 1000 'in hand'. Starting September 1, 2025, this payment will be increased to UAH 2000 in cash for each teacher," Shmyhal wrote.
The Prime Minister noted that this decision is part of the support for those who are teaching and educating young people who will build the future of Ukraine.

The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi explained his plans to raise teachers' salaries: there is a corresponding concept, "we will protect the country, repel the enemy and make education the number one priority.
