As part of the Czech initiative, 100,000 pieces of ammunition will be delivered to Ukraine in July and August. It is planned to deliver 500,000 units by the end of the year, and up to 800,000 units if funds are available.

As part of the Czech initiative, another 100,000 rounds of ammunition will be delivered to Ukraine in July and August. This was announced today in Brussels by Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky, UNN reports citing Ceskenoviny.

During July and August we will send another 100,000 rounds of ammunition. We are now looking for money to buy even more ammunition so that this initiative can continue into 2025

- Lipavsky told reporters.

According to Lipavsky, 18 countries have joined the initiative so far, and 15 of them have already fulfilled their pledges and made their contributions.

He also indicated that the funds are sufficient to deliver 500,000 rounds of ammunition to Ukraine by the end of the year.

"We could deliver up to 800,000 units this year if we had the money," he added.

According to him, the Czechs are in daily contact with their Ukrainian partners, who appreciate the Czech initiative. In particular, they are working with Kyiv on what exactly the Armed Forces of Ukraine needs.

Addendum

The Czech Ammunition Initiative is looking for artillery ammunition for Ukraine in countries outside the European Union. Some time ago, the first batch of ammunition arrived in Ukraine - about 50,000 units. The Czech Republic cooperates in this initiative mainly with the Netherlands and Denmark. Prague itself has allocated almost 866 million Czech crowns for the supply.

Some of the information about this initiative is very sensitive, especially about the countries from which ammunition is purchased.
