The newspaper writes that the Ukrainian authorities have officially refused to name the number of mobilized soldiers because it is confidential information. However, military experts familiar with the figures put the number at 30,000 people per month since May, when the new mobilization law came into force.
The New York Times notes that this is two to three times more than in recent winter months, and about the same as the monthly recruitment of the russian army.
Many recruits are currently completing their training and have not yet arrived at the front. However, several brigades participating in the fighting have reported receiving new recruits in recent weeks.
