Ukraine and Latvia have signed a bilateral security agreement. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday, indicating that he had signed the document together with Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs, UNN reports.

According to him, Latvia will provide Ukraine with military assistance worth 0.25% of GDP annually. In addition, Latvia is making a 10-year commitment to support Ukraine in cyber defense, demining, unmanned technologies, and unconditionally promotes our accession to the EU and NATO.

"I am grateful to friendly Latvia! This is exactly the specificity and predictability that our struggle for freedom and independence requires," the President noted.

Earlier Ukraine has already concluded 8 bilateral security agreements: with the UK, Germany, France, Denmark, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, and Finland.
