Trump assassination attempt: shooter kept explosives at home and in car

Explosives were found in the home and car of the 20-year-old gunman who tried to assassinate former US President Donald Trump, law enforcement officials say.

In the house and car of the shooter suspected in the attempted assassination of former U.S. President Donald Trump, an explosive substance was found, this was reported by CNN, citing law enforcement officials, writes UNN.

Information about the discovery of explosives was confirmed to journalists by numerous sources in law enforcement agencies.

The FBI has publicly identified the shooter as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. Authorities say he fired several shots from  the roof of a building  near the rally site before being killed by Secret Service agents.

Law enforcement sources said authorities used a gun to identify the shooter because he did not have identification on him.
