An accident involving a bus occurred on the Odesa-Reni highway near the village of Mayaki. As a result, two people were hospitalized. UNN reports this with reference to the police of the Odesa region.
"Preliminarily, the police found that a 60-year-old Hyundai driver was overtaking a MAN bus driven by a 53-year-old man without making sure of the safety of the traffic, as a result of which he collided with an oncoming Ford driven by a 56-year-old man," the statement said.
It is noted that the latter was thrown into the oncoming lane, which led to a collision with a bus.
"As a result of the accident, the driver of the Ford and his 56-year-old passenger were injured and hospitalized. Other participants in the accident did not need medical assistance," the police said.
After the drivers are tested for intoxication and the full circumstances of the incident are established, it will be legally qualified.
It is also noted that traffic on this section of the road is somewhat hampered.
