In three regions of Ukraine, power supply is being restored to homes cut off due to the weather. Electricity consumption is decreasing due to warming. This was reported on Wednesday by NPC Ukrenergo, UNN reports.
Consumption and generation
Yesterday, on December 19, the average daily temperature was 0.5°C higher than at the beginning of the week on December 18 (4.7°C vs. 4.2°C). The maximum daily consumption level on December 19 was in the morning, which was 3% lower than on December 18.
"Despite the noticeable warming, the overall level of consumption remains high. This is typical for the winter period, but still creates an additional load on the power system. Therefore, it is still very important to consume electricity economically now," Ukrenergo emphasized.
Reportedly, 4 units at thermal power plants were out for emergency repairs during the day. 2 units have been restarted after the repair. In the eastern region, one of the thermal power plants went into emergency repair.
However, at present, the electricity generated by all types of power plants is sufficient to ensure energy supply to all legal and household consumers
The Ministry of Energy has maintained that "there are no plans to introduce schedules of disconnections of household consumers."
Export/importExport/import
There are no exports today. Electricity is imported from Slovakia, Romania, and Moldova for almost the entire day, according to the NPC.
