The Netherlands will allocate 400 million euros to support Ukraine, which is in addition to the more than two billion euros already reserved for 2024.
The outgoing government has also already allocated €1.5 billion to support military needs and reconstruction in Ukraine.
The Netherlands also pledged to reach the NATO standard by increasing defense spending to 2.15% in 2024, 2.05% in 2025, and 2.22% in 2026.
The future cabinet must guarantee the achievement of the agreed NATO standard to ensure security and stability in the region.
