The lists of drugs, the prices of which manufacturers have to reduce, include not only vitamins. Among the most popular were drugs such as "Clophelin" and "Codepsin". UNN asked narcologists whether these drugs are really so popular among Ukrainians.

As you know, the drug "Codepsin" contains codeine, an opioid analgesic, and is restricted in European countries due to the high risks of side effects or addiction. The main active ingredient of the drug "Clophelin" is clonidine, which can also cause addiction.
Vadym Neyasov, a narcologist-psychotherapist, noted that he does not understand why these drugs were included in the lists for price reduction, because they are not a priority for patients at all. In his opinion, cardiological drugs, antibiotics, and pulmonological drugs should become more accessible.
"Clophelin" is not a relevant drug, because it is used in a very narrow context. Codeine is addictive and doctors almost do not prescribe it
Other UNN doctors-narcologists also noted that "Clophelin" and drugs containing codeine are no longer used by anyone and are not prescribed to patients, and therefore it is not clear how they could get into the list of popular drugs.
In addition, the list of medicines, the prices of which were to be reduced, wanted to include the famous balm "Vigor". This drug was to take three positions in the list of the Ministry of Health at once.
However, later it was removed from the list. Probably, after internal discussions in the ministry, it was decided that the inclusion of a tincture, which is associated more with abuse than with medical use, could cause a barrage of criticism.
The UNN narcologists interviewed noted that the balm "Vigor" is rather an echo of the zero years.
Interns-students in hospitals used to use "Vigor" from the pharmacy. They didn't have more money. It was in the 2000s. I don't know why this "Vigor" got on the list. And alcohol didn't get on? Offer them alcohol wipes as an alternative. Let them regulate prices on them better, they can't be used

On March 1, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 168 on reducing drug prices, adopted pursuant to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, came into force. According to the government decree, the Ministry of Health approved a list of the TOP 100 drugs that should become 30% cheaper. However, according to analytical data, prices have fallen by only 25%, while the cost of other drugs that are not included in the list continues to rise.
Later, another list of drugs was published, the prices of which should decrease by a different percentage of the cost.
