The water level on the Ural River in the Orenburg region of Russia has exceeded the dangerous level of 890 centimeters. According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the water level on the Ural River in the Orenburg region exceeded the dangerous mark of 890 centimeters. At 16.00 on April 8, the water level in the Ural River was 893 centimeters. The level of 930 centimeters is considered critical.

Orenburg Mayor Sergei Salmin earlier recorded a video message in which he said that the situation in the next two days "will only get worse". The official called on residents of the areas threatened with flooding to evacuate.
