The commander of the 155th Mechanized Brigade, Stanislav Luchanov, who is suspected of involvement in the kidnapping of people, has been detained. Information about this was confirmed to UNN by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
On July 11, media reported that the commander of the 155th separate mechanized brigade, Stanislav Luchanov, was wanted after nine servicemen of the brigade were detained on suspicion of kidnapping two civilian men from the Kyiv region.
It was reported that on the night of June 28, seven people broke into the yard of two brothers in the Kyiv region and took them away in an unknown direction.
The Operational Command "North" confirmed the investigation of events involving the military of the 155th separate mechanized brigade, noting that the commander had left service without authorization and is being sought.
It is known that the Bila Tserkva District Police Department, under the procedural guidance of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Central Region and the operational support of the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine, with the involvement of the Military Law Enforcement Service, is currently conducting a pre-trial investigation. Information in the case has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under paragraph 1 of part 2 of Article 115 and part 3 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – premeditated murder and illegal deprivation of liberty or kidnapping of a person.
The bodies, which according to preliminary data belong to the victims, have already been exhumed.
