Polls show that President Emmanuel Macron's party has no advantage in the election. The far-right National Rally has a much better chance. After an encouraging result in the first round, it is predicted to receive about 37% of the vote, 29% may be won by the left, and only in third place with 21% are the centrists from Ensemble, a coalition that includes Macron's Renaissance Party.

The first round of early elections was held on June 30. According to exit polls, the far-right party is leading in the first round with about 34% of the vote. The New People's Front, a bloc of left-wing parties, is in second place with about 29%. Next is the party of incumbent President Macron, which garners 21.5% of the vote.
