The newly amended mobilization law, passed by the Parliament and signed by the President of Ukraine, will come into force on May 18. In this regard, the Ministry of Defense has prepared an infographic on the main changes that affect both military personnel and civilians of Ukraine. The Ministry reminded about the terms of military service, conditions and procedure for dismissal from the Defense Forces, as well as social and legal protection for the military and their families.

Separately, the Ministry of Defense reminded of military transport duty, including the possibility of seizing vehicles for the needs of the Defense Forces.
The ministry also told about the benefits for the military when signing the first contract and the absence of penalties, fines and interest on loans for family members of the Armed Forces.
Also, the new law on mobilization provides for a number of changes to payments to the military during long-term treatment. The Ministry of Defense has provided clear explanations of the new rules.
Separately, the Ministry also spoke about how the procedure for providing consular services by foreign diplomatic missions of Ukraine is changing.
The Ministry was also told that the new draft law on mobilization obliges the Cabinet of Ministers to introduce data exchange between registers, revise the booking procedure and create an electronic cabinet for reservists and persons liable for military service.
Recall
The law on mobilization was published in the official newspaper of the Verkhovna Rada, Holos Ukrainy, on April 17, and will come into effect one month after the day following its publication. That is, the new law will come into effect on May 18.
