Defense Minister Rustem Umerov presented the president with the concept of introducing the institution of a military ombudsman.
Soon a bill on this concept will be submitted for consideration by deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, reports UNN.
Yesterday, during the report to the president of Ukraine, he presented, in particular, the concept of introducing the institution of a military ombudsman. This is an important initiative of the Ministry of Defense aimed at systematically protecting the rights of our military personnel
According to him, the first step in this direction was the creation of the Central Department for the protection of the rights of military personnel, which already demonstrates concrete results: responding to complaints, visiting places of violations, conducting inspections and ensuring the restoration of the rights of our soldiers.
However, this is just the beginning. The next step will be the introduction of the military ombudsman institution. The military ombudsman should receive all the necessary tools for real and thorough work: protecting the rights of military personnel, reservists and their families, as well as analyzing systemic problems and solving them. The president instructed to prepare a presentation of this draft law, and soon we will submit this document to the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada for consideration
