For those who try to assert their rights or refuse to fight, the punishment is harsher — torture. Relatives of the detainees are alarmed: in police stations and military enlistment offices, Russians are beaten and blackmailed. The scenario is well-rehearsed — either you sign the contract, or you will still be brought to the trenches unconscious, or drugs will be planted on you right now and you will be sentenced to a long prison term.
At the same time, administrators of local public pages delete any comments and requests for help from shocked relatives. Those who try to break through this information blockade face administrative protocols on "discrediting" the Russian army, or criminal liability.
