209 battles took place on the front line last day, most of them - 68 - in the Pokrovsk direction, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning report on March 28, showing a map of hostilities for March 27, writes UNN.

Yesterday, the enemy launched 98 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, dropping 157 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it carried out 6,430 shellings, including 222 from rocket salvo systems, and used 2,911 kamikaze drones for strikes.
"Over the past day, aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces hit 27 areas of concentration of personnel, eight artillery systems, four air defense systems and two UAV control points of the enemy," the statement reads.
Situation by directions
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy tried six times to break through the defensive lines of our defenders towards Vovchansk and Fyholivka.
In the Kupyansk direction, 26 attacks by invaders took place yesterday. Our defenders repelled the assault actions of the enemy in the areas of Stepova Novoselivka, Zahryzove and in the directions of Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Nova Kruglyakivka, Bohuslavka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 32 times. He tried to wedge into our defense in the areas of the settlements of Nadiya, Kolodyazi, Myrne, Yampolivka and in the direction of Novosergiyivka, Novy, Olhivka, Dronivka, Hryhorivka.
In the Siversk direction, our soldiers successfully stopped three attacks by the enemy near the settlements of Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamyanske.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked four times near Chasovoy Yar and Predtechyny.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 24 attacks in the areas of Krymsky, Ozaryanivka, Kurdyumivka, Toretsk and in the directions of Dyliivka, Leonidivka, Shcherbynivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 68 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Panteleimonivka, Oleksandropil, Vodyane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Sukhy Yar, Kotlyne, Udachne, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka and in the direction of Malinivka and Novoleksandrivka.
In the Novopavlivsky direction, the enemy carried out 14 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kostyantynopil, Rozliv, Skudne, Dniproenerhiya and Burlatske during the past day.
In the Huliaipilsky direction, our defenders stopped nine attacks in the areas of the settlements of Pryvilne, Novosilka and in the direction of Vilne Pole.
In the Orikhiv direction, the occupation forces stormed the positions of the Defense Forces four times in the direction of the settlements of Shcherbaki, Lobkove and Kamyanske.
No combat engagements were recorded in the Prydniprovsky direction over the past day.
No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polisky directions.
"The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue the operation in the Kursk region. Over the past day, the enemy launched 22 air strikes, dropping 25 guided aerial bombs, carried out 382 shellings, 26 of them from rocket salvo systems. Ukrainian defenders stopped 18 assault actions of the invaders," the statement said.
