The General Staff stated that in Russia’s Astrakhan region, damage to a Su-34 aircraft and a fuel spill at the site were confirmed following the attack on the “Akhtubinsk” airfield, reports UNN.

The General Staff added that the “Akhtubinsk” airfield is home to the 929th State Flight Test Center of the Russian Ministry of Defense – one of the main centers for testing and evaluating new models of military aviation equipment and weaponry.
The enemy uses it to base Su-34 aircraft, which are used to launch strikes with guided aerial bombs on Ukrainian territory.
The airfield is located approximately 650 km from the line of contact.
Operations against key military and military-technological targets of the enemy are ongoing.
