The Ministry of Defense has a vision of how to reform military medical commissions. In particular, the first stage of the reform will be an electronic referral to the MMC in the "Reserve+" application. This was stated by Deputy Defense Minister for Digitalization Kateryna Chernogorenko during a briefing on Monday, an UNN correspondent reports.
Regarding the reform of the military qualification commission, the Ministry of Defense has proposed a vision of how we can make changes in this area. In fact, we will separate the medical examination from the administrative decision on where and how to route our persons liable for military service. Medical examinations will be available in civilian healthcare facilities, and there will be no need to stand in line at a separate medical examination center. You can come to your general practitioner, your family doctor and do the medical part. Then, through an exchange with the registries, this medical report will be sent to us, to the military unit. We will be able to make a decision on this person without corruption risks. This is a brief summary of the reform, which is quite complex. We are working together with the Ministry of Health, but the first stage will be an electronic referral to the military medical examination in Reserve+, which can be downloaded to avoid standing in lines
She noted that the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Health are currently working on a quick timeline for implementing the reform.
"This will be a joint position of the two ministries, because it is a joint work of two parts: the medical one - the Ministry of Health, the NHSU and the Ministry of Defense together with the General Staff," Chernogorenko added.
