The Appeals Chamber of the HACC supported the position of the SAPO prosecutor and upheld the HACC decision regarding the confiscation of the Audi Q7 car used by the Mayor of Sambir, Yuriy Hamar. The car has been recovered to state revenue. This is reported by SAPO, UNN reports.

"On June 23, 2026, the Appeals Chamber of the HACC supported the position of the SAPO prosecutor and upheld the HACC decision of September 29, 2025. This decision recognized as unjustified the asset used by the Mayor of Sambir, Yuriy Hamar, and ordered its recovery to state revenue (civil confiscation). It concerns the car "Audi Q7", 2023 model year, worth UAH 4.2 million," the statement reads.
The court agreed with the prosecutor's arguments and refused to satisfy the defendant's appeal. The decision of the Appeals Chamber of the HACC enters into force from the moment of its pronouncement.
"Based on the materials collected by NABU detectives together with SAPO prosecutors, it was established that in 2023 the mayor's daughter acquired ownership of the car. At the same time, the investigation collected sufficient evidence indicating that after the purchase, the car was used exclusively by the mayor. In addition, he could directly or indirectly perform actions identical in content to exercising the right to dispose of the said property. This confirms that registering the purchase in the name of the official's daughter was a maneuver to conceal the real owner of the car," SAPO reported.
Subsequently, in order to avoid civil confiscation of the car, the individuals carried out another purchase and sale procedure, as a result of which ownership was allegedly transferred to a third party.

In March 2025, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office appealed to the High Anti-Corruption Court with a request to confiscate to state revenue the car "Audi Q7" worth UAH 4.2 million, used by the Mayor of Sambir, Lviv region, Yuriy Hamar.
In September 2025, the HACC granted the lawsuit of the SAPO prosecutor to recognize as unjustified the asset used by the Mayor of Sambir, Yuriy Hamar.
