The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointed Mykola Shvydkyi as Deputy Minister of Defense. This was reported by Acting Minister of Defense of Ukraine Yevhenii Khmara, reports UNN.

It is noted that one of Shvydkyi's main tasks will be to strengthen the interaction of the defense ministry with the military and accelerate decision-making in line with the needs of the front. Khmara noted that his deputy will coordinate work between the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi.
His key task is to strengthen the practical interaction of the Ministry with the military. First of all, coordination of work between the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi
He emphasized that the decisions of the Ministry of Defense must correspond to the real situation on the battlefield, the needs of combat units, and the tasks performed by the Defense Forces of Ukraine. For this, according to Khmara, constant work of ministry representatives directly in brigades and units on the line of combat contact is necessary - this will allow obtaining information about the state of affairs in the military and the requests of servicemen, including soldiers.

He added that the needs of military units should reach the Ministry of Defense faster, and the practical decisions made by the ministry should be implemented more quickly directly at the front.
