Details
It is reported that the creation of effective supervisory boards is a continuation of the process of autonomization of medical institutions and decentralization reform. The decision to establish such boards will be made by the owner of the medical institution.
"Supervisory boards will help to create conditions for the protection of the rights of patients and doctors, as well as for the accountability and transparency of the head of a medical institution. Their functioning at medical institutions will contribute to the provision of quality and affordable medical care to patients. Also, the creation of supervisory boards will ensure the realization of the rights of patients and employees of medical institutions and will contribute to the effective exercise of the owner's rights to manage the institution," the Ministry of Health informs.
In addition, it is reported that the involvement of public representatives in supervisory boards will ensure effective strategic planning and development, professional management and independent audit. The supervisory board of each medical institution should include at least 50% of civil society representatives.
