Serhii Tkachenko, an inspector from the Cherkasy tactical-operational response company, was on a business trip in Dnipro.
While returning home, he heard screams. Nearby, he noticed citizens who reported a man with a grenade and threats to detonate it.
The police officer went to the scene, where he found two men. One of them had an object resembling a grenade in his hands, which he was trying to activate.
This man was detained. The patrol officer called colleagues and an investigative-operational group to the scene to establish the circumstances of the incident. The grenade was seized for examination.
