In the evening, on August 8, Ukraine will introduce electricity restrictions for industry and business. This was stated by NPC Ukrenergo, UNN reports.

The company emphasizes that only one stage of the power curtailment schedule will be used for industry and business.
Consumption restrictions for industry and business will be in place today, 8 AUGUST, from 17:00 to 22:00.The consumption of the population, critical infrastructure and defense industry facilities will not be limited
The company explained that there are several reasons for the outages :
- power shortages in the system caused by Russian attacks;
- high electricity consumption due to rising temperatures of up to +30C in the south and east of the country.
The company also called on Ukrainians to consume electricity rationally from 16:00 to 23:00.
