Russian influencers have spread a fake video with alleged fraud in the US presidential election in Arizona. This was reported by CNN with reference to a statement by the National Intelligence Agency, cybersecurity and infrastructure security, UNN reports.
Russian influencers created and disseminated a video that falsely portrayed an interview with an individual who alleged election fraud in Arizona, which included the creation of fake absentee ballots and changes to voter rolls in favor of Vice President Kamala Harris
It is noted that the fake video is linked to the so-called "troll factory" of Eugene Pryzhizhyn, who has already tried to influence the 2016 US presidential election.
The video was posted on social network X by Mira Terada, a propagandist who claims to be an "international human rights activist" and head of the Foundation to Fight Repression. The video shows Terada conducting a fake interview with a so-called informant described as a "former aide" to Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes. According to the Deep Fake Detection Tool, the person, whose face is blurred and whose voice appears to be generated by AI, claims election fraud in Arizona.
Fontes said that these statements were false.
