Racketeering under the guise of "charity." In the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region, the invaders have begun a forced collection of funds and property for the needs of the Russian military. Collaborators cynically demand "volunteer assistance" from local residents, although in reality it is about harsh racketeering under the control of the Russian special services
In particular, the occupiers are demanding money from entrepreneurs and public sector employees in Melitopol, Berdiansk, and Polohy. According to available data, businesses are forced to regularly purchase medicines and equipment for the front, and those who refuse to pay the "tribute" are intimidated with searches, business closures, and accusations of supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Reminder
The economy of Russia, after more than four years of full-scale war against Ukraine, is approaching the limit of its capabilities. The country's financial reserves are largely depleted, economic growth has virtually stopped, and dependence on China continues to grow.
