The Cabinet of Ministers has instructed the Ministry of Social Policy to develop a mechanism for winter support for Ukrainians that will encourage them to install alternative power sources and generation, but at the same time people will not lose their right to housing subsidies.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting, reports UNN.

We understand that the winter will be difficult, so we encourage citizens to be energy resilient in every possible way. In particular, to install alternative sources of power and generation: solar panels, wind turbines, and energy storage. At the same time, people should not lose their right to housing subsidies. Today, we instruct the Ministry of Social Policy to develop and submit to the Government a relevant draft decision
According to him, the decision will stipulate that if the cost of the installed energy equipment does not exceed UAH 150 thousand, the subsidy will be retained by the family.
“Also, the Ministry of Social Policy should develop a mechanism whereby the amount of subsidies for electricity will not be reduced even in the event of power outages. This approach is part of the winter support program for our citizens,” Shmyhal added.
