The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the preferential gas price for households and heat producers until April 30, 2025. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting, UNN reports.

Not a single day goes by now without decisions, work and preparations for the heating season. This winter will be very difficult. Despite 24/7 repairs and restoration, we still have a lot of damaged energy facilities. Today, the Government is extending the special preferential gas price for heat producers and household consumers. The decision will be valid until April 30, 2025, i.e. until the end of the next heating season. We are doing everything we can to ensure that every Ukrainian home has light and heat this winter

The government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk , notedthat the relevant amendments were made to the regulation on the imposition of special obligations on natural gas market participants to ensure the public interest in the functioning of the natural gas market.

The head of the Naftogaz Group, Oleksiy Chernyshov, said that Ukraine is actively preparing for the heating seasonby increasing gas production and reserves. The price of gas for Ukrainians will not change at least until the end of April next year.
