In the capital, the Podolsk bridge crossing was opened for passenger cars and public transport. Travel is possible through a new tunnel connecting the bridge with Vershigory street, significantly shortening the path from Troyeschyna to the center. This was announced on Sunday by the mayor of the city Vitali Klitschko, reports UNN.

As Klitschko pointed out, now you can enter the bridge: from the right bank — from Naberezhnye Chelny-Khreshchatytskaya Street, and go to Petr Vershigory street; from the Left Bank, enter — from Petr Vershigory Street, exit — to Naberezhnye Chelny-Rybalskaya street.
In particular, the route also runs through a new tunnel that connects the bridge crossing with the exit to Vershigory Street in the direction of Roman Shukhevych Avenue and Troyeschina residential area. Therefore, it is now possible to get from Troyeschyna to the city center much faster, Klitschko said.
The Podolsk bridge crossing will remain closed for heavy vehicles for the time being.
According to Klitschko, work is still underway on the improvement and arrangement of the adjacent territory, near the newly built tunnel. They will be completed by the end of the year. Specialists work at the facility 24/7, the mayor added.
