According to officials, the wanted Peruvian gang leader Gianfranco Torres-Navarro was arrested in the United States, UNN reports with reference to the BBC.

Torres-Navarro, 38, was detained in New York State after illegally entering the country at the Texas-Mexico border, according to a statement from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
He is believed to be the leader of the Los Killers gang and is on Peru's list of wanted persons.
He is currently being held in a federal detention center pending immigration proceedings, ICE said.
In a statement sent to the BBC, ICE said that Torres-Navarro was first arrested on May 16 after illegally entering the United States and was notified to appear for an immigration hearing.
Approximately two months later, authorities were notified that he was actually wanted in Peru, leading to his subsequent arrest in Endicott on Wednesday, ICE added.
"Gianfranco Torres-Navarro poses a serious threat to our communities," said Thomas Brophy, a senior government immigration official.
"We will not allow New York to become a haven for dangerous non-citizens," he added.
Torres-Navarro reportedly fled Peru after the alleged murder of a retired police officer in the South American country.
In Peru, he is commonly known as Gianfranco 23, which probably indicates the number of his alleged victims.
